  • * Refer to current catalog for prerequisites.
  • **One course from each of the following GE areas must be completed: A1, A2, A3, B1, B1, B2, B3, (B4 [lab] must be completed with either B2 or B3),
  • B1-B5 elective, C1, C3, C4, D1, D2, D3, D4, D5 and F. C4, D5 and F should be taken only after Junior standing is reached (90 units).
  • Two(2) courses must be completed from B1. No PHIL class may be taken to satisfy GE C4.
  • Refer to online catalog for GE course selection, United States Cultural Pluralism (USCP) and Graduation Writing Requirement (GWR). USCP requirement can be satisfied by some (but not all) courses within GE categories: C3, C4, D1, D3, D4, D5 or F.
  • PHIL 126 is recommended for A3 for PHIL majors, offered only in Winter.
  • History of Philosophy Electives: Any four of the following PHIL courses: 311, 312, 313, 314, 315, 316 or 317.
  • Upper-Division PHIL Electives: Either 20 units in the Ethics and Society Concentration or 20 units of 300-400 level PHIL courses, 12 units of which must be 400 level.
  • An additional 4 units of free electives may substitute.
