Student Research and Travel
Dean Boswell, an undergraduate PHIL major, and research partner, Hannah Davis, attended the 2018 National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions (NAAHP) in Washington D.C. at the Hilton Resort in late June 2018.
Boswell and Davis presented the hypothesis that undergraduate Pre-Medical students are at higher risk of depressive disorders. Attending this conference and presenting their research gave Boswell the opportunity to speak with advisors from elite universities, such as Yale and Cornell. Mental health has become a serious topic among undergraduate and medical universities, and because of Boswell’s opportunity to travel and present, he has been able to contribute to the discussion.
Dean Boswell’s travel and expenses were funded completely by the Philosophy Department. If you would like to donate to help students like Dean Boswell, see giving tab for more information.
