A New Tradition to Build Community Among Students
The Philosophy Department hosted its inaugural Student Symposium on May 18 to foster community between our students and showcase their achievements. The schedule for the symposium included the following presentations:

- Will Trammell "Interdependence in Hegel's Lordship and Bondage”
- Amber Miller "Read the Fine Print”
- Jacob Watson "Ficitonalism as Undergraduate Philosophy”
- Nicholas Mazegue “Structural Internet Affordances for Non-Linear Politics by way of Fake News”
- Keynote speaker: Dr. Ryan Jenkins "Why Don't Students Trust Philosophy”
The next Student Symposium will be in Winter 2019.
